Do You Do Ideas?

When you have an idea, do you act on it?

Or do you brush it off and move on to the next thing?

I’ve been challenging myself to act on my ideas. Mostly because I’ve been praying and asking God to give me ideas. So not acting on them seems quite silly and would be like a slap in God’s face.

But before that, I would not act on my ideas because I didn’t believe in myself enough to do it. I would basically brush it off and then whine about how I’m not a creative person and how I can’t come up with ideas.

It was fear. And I would let that fear stop me.

Fear of failing, fear of being judged, fear of being rejected, fear of getting it wrong.

Succumbing to all of the fear had me miserable, feeling stuck in my corporate job.

Then I practiced believing that I can do this. I practiced believing that I am built for this. I believed that if I couldn’t do it, God would not have planted the desire/idea in me. I believed that I have everything I need inside of me. After a while, I truly believed all of it.

So when I had this idea that I could help people feel better in their lives without going back to school and accumulating more student loan debt, I was able to explore other options. The more I explored, the more this world opened up for me. The more it opened up, the more confident I became in walking into who I’m meant to be.

So believe in yourself and go do your ideas. You never know where the smallest of ideas might lead you.

The fear is always gonna be there.

But when you believe in yourself, you feel the fear then do it anyway.
