It’s freakin’ scary to admit that you want something different from what you’re “supposed” to want.
It’s even freakin’ scarier to actually DO that thing that’s something different.
Your whole life has been centered around your current career. You went to school for it. You landed a job in your field. You got the promotions. You worked really hard to get to where you are.
You did what you were taught would get you “there” – where you would feel like you made it, you’d be fulfilled, and life would be grand.
But you don’t. And it isn’t.
Now you want to do what truly fulfills you, but you’re paralyzed by fear that it won’t work, that you aren’t good enough, and that you won’t make enough money.
I soooooo get it.
The uncertainty of it all is downright terrifying.
And to keep it real, I’m on the other side of it and it’s still terrifying for me at times.
I just remind myself why I’m doing this. I was the woman who was grateful for her corporate job but felt so miserable and lost. It was the worst feeling I’ve ever felt in my life. I promised that if I ever found a way out of it and into my purpose, I would spend my life helping other women, like you, NOT feel miserable and lost and instead, create a life that you love where you’re doing work that lights you up inside.
