The Unexpected Mauve Boyfriend Blazer

Recently, my girl Jen from PNB asked her readers if we had ever received a package from an online purchase and found that it looked nothing like the online photos. Well, this blazer was one of those purchases for me. It was listed as coral; however, you and I both know that this is not coral. Now, I don’t know that it is actually mauve either, but we are going to go with it anyway. At least it’s closer to mauve than coral. Hmph. But anyway, although it was not at all what I was expecting, I actually like this funky color and could not wait to style it!

Blazer: H&M (via Poshmark) | Tee: Madewell | Jeans: Lucky Jeans | Pumps: Sam & Libby (via Target)

I wanted it to pop so I paired it with mostly neutral colors. This black knotted tee and gray skinnies were perfect. SN: I just love how these jeans make my legs look long. Don’t you think? Anyway, I added these blush lace up pumps and a long turquoise necklace to finish off the look.

I love the length of boyfriend blazers. They are perfect for those pants or jeans that may be a tad too tight for the office. They are long enough to cover the boo-tay and you look professional.

So anyway, I was expecting the boyfriend…just not the color. But I worked it out and I love the way it turned out.

How do you handle unexpected purchases?

What I find so unique about your style is that I pair/wear similar things as you; however, one of the biggest difference is shoes. I’m not a shoe person and hardly buy them. I wear the same ones over and over. ?I just recently purchased tailored/fitted blazers (black, brown, and peachy color) from Goodwill. Keep styling mami..you’re doing it well!! ??

Thanks, love. I love shoes; however they are not necessary for fabulous style. The basics will do. Switching up the clothes, mixing and matching keeps it fresh. Woop for blazers! I do so much with blazers. Have fun styling your new pieces!

Ahhh don’t you hate when that happens? Glad it worked out for you though! I actually really like that color on you. It’s definitely not coral, but it is a shade of pink!.:) You look fabulous Ms. Gabulous!!

Thanks, J! Haha! I’m glad you agree that it’s not coral. Not sure where they got that from. It is definitely a shade of pink and it’s different, which I love.
