I have 1 simple rule for figuring out what you’re meant to do in the world.
So many of us spend years telling ourselves that we don’t know what we want, which means we spend years in unsatisfying careers and unaligned with our calling.
Which leaves us burned out at work, snappy with our kids/spouses, and mean to ourselves.
Let me tell you, I’ve been there.
We’re scared that if we admit what it is that we want, then we’ll have to do something about it.
Or my favorite, we don’t believe we can have what we want so “what’s the point?”
The point is that if God put the desire in you, then He meant for you to have it.
So it’s not that you don’t know your purpose. It’s that you haven’t admitted it to yourself.
And that leads me to my 1 simple rule for figuring out what you’re meant to do in the world:
Be real with yourself about what you want.
When you admit it to yourself, you can begin taking the smallest of steps and your path will be revealed to you.
Before you know it, you’ll be doing things that light you up.
You’ll feel less stressed at work, more energized when you get home, and more connected to yourself.
The world needs you to be real with yourself.
And so do you.
