October is one of my favorite months. It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month and is very near and dear to my heart. I represent for my late Granny and all of the other breast cancer warriors by wearing pink every day. It is such a small token of recognition of those who are fighting such a huge battle, and I love doing it. Even though I am late with this post, rest assured that I have been on it since October 1.

All in L.A. representin’, baby! I was in L.A. for my third PoshFest (amazing post on that coming soon!), so this picture was taken in the streets of the Fashion District. Although you can’t tell from the pic, these boyfriend jeans are a dark/hunter green. They were perfect with this pink boyfriend fit gingham shirt. I love pairing pearls with a button up. It gives a feminine touch to an otherwise masculine outfit.

I built some time in during my trip for sightseeing and doing touristy stuff, so this picture was taken at the Santa Monica Pier, which was beautiful. This is why I need to move to Cali. You get warm weather, the beach, and the mountains all in the same place. Plus, that natural “wind machine” had me feeling like Beyonce with my hair blowing. Ha! This sweater is very light which was perfect for the cool breeze coming from the ocean (and for the flight home). I had been looking for some black skinnies and found these just before this trip. They came in handy.
Stay tuned for a post on my amazing experience at PoshFest this year!
