Should you get certified as a life coach?

Yes and no.

You don’t need to be certified to start your life coaching business. 

However, many people use the lack of certification against themselves.

The certification doesn’t make you a coach.

It’s your belief that you can help somebody using your God-given gifts, abilities, and life experiences that makes you a coach.

That’s why there are tons of successful coaches in the world who have no certification – they know they can help people so they go out and do that.

That being said, I do think there is something to be said about finding a program or school that has teachings/tools that are aligned with what you believe and getting certified to use them in your practice. 

Though the certification is not required to help people, the tools and learnings from the certification will allow you to help them on a deeper level, which will take your coaching and your business to the next level.

In a nutshell, you should get certified at some point, but not having it won’t stop you from creating a successful life coaching business right now.
