Yall. I woke up with so much anxiety.
“What are you doing?”
“This is never going to work.”
“You are nuts.”
“Your goals are impossible.”
“You are a fraud.”
“Nobody believes you.”
“You’re going to fail.”
Those were the thoughts that were causing the feelings of anxiety. And they kept coming.
And I let them. Instead of trying to dismiss them or fight them, I let them keep coming. And I sat and watched those thoughts float through my brain. And I sat and felt those feelings in my body. The fear, the anxiety, the shame. Even the physical reactions: the sweating, the heart racing, all of it.
Until it stopped.
Then it was over. I was fine. I got up and told myself, “Those were just sentences in your brain. You can choose to believe them or you can choose not to believe them. Either way, you’re right.”
You are what you believe.
Feelings will continue to come up throughout your journey. But they are harmless…unless you start to believe the thoughts that cause them.
What do you believe? Do you believe that you’re capable of more? Do you believe that you can find your purpose? Do you believe that you can create the life you want while doing it? You should request a free mini-session and let’s see if we can make it happen.
