Some people give up (or don’t start) looking for their purpose because they think it’s too late.
They may feel like it’s too late because they’re too old, have a degree in something else, or invested so much into their current career.
But are these REALLY the reasons why it’s too late? Or is it too late because it’s easier to tell yourself it’s too late?
After working with many women and knowing how the brain works, I’d put my money on the latter.
I get it. It’s easier to stay safe doing what you’ve always done. Even though you get that constant nudge telling you that you should be doing more, you get the voices screaming even louder telling you that you can’t do it, you won’t make any money, your current job is secure, you’re too old, you spent all this money on school, you invested all this time so you might as well stay. And you believe it.
But what if it was all lies? What if it was just your brain’s way of trying to protect you?
What if it’s not too late to find out what you’re meant to do in the world and make the impact you were destined to make? What if it’s not too late to live the life you’ve always wanted to live? What if it’s not too late to become the woman you’ve always wanted to be? What if it’s not too late to serve the people who need you?
Wouldn’t you want to know for sure, without a doubt?
No one has ever lived an amazing life by staying safe in the cave. Be curious enough to peep your head out and find out. Then decide if you want to stay in there.
