What Would You Do?

I remember feeling like I would never figure it out.

I remember thinking that my current situation was as good as my life was gonna get.

I remember feeling guilty and ungrateful for having an amazing family and successful career but still wanting something more out of life.

I remember feeling like I wasn’t passionate about ANYTHING. If someone asked me that question, the answer was a big fat “NOTHING.”

I remember reading articles and taking all the personality quizzes and “Find Your Purpose” questionnaires. And getting nowhere.

I remember sitting up in bed crying because I felt so helpless and lost and my husband looking at me like I was crazy.

I remember calling my mom crying, thinking that something was wrong with me because I was not satisfied with my life.

I remember thinking that because I didn’t have a rough, earth-shattering childhood, I didn’t have a story to tell so I didn’t have a purpose.

I remember being right where you are.

I also remember the exact moment that everything changed for me.

It wasn’t a big production where the light from heaven beamed down on me with opera music playing in the background. Because you know, that’s what I was expecting. But no it wasn’t that at all.

I was listening to a podcast during a very long, dreadful commute that I absolutely HATED. BTW, let me tell you how I am SOOOOOOOO thankful for that commute now though!!! Changed my life! Anyway, the lady’s story was the same as mine — great life, but not fulfilled. Listening to her talk about my life as if she was living it was blowing my mind.

It was in that moment that I decided to be honest with myself about what I truly wanted and answer the question, “What would I do if I knew that I could not fail?” The answer was everything the articles/quizzes/questionnaires would tell me. It was everything my family and friends would tell me. Most importantly, it was everything that I already knew but was too afraid to pursue.

I didn’t believe in myself enough. Until that very moment. Everything changed with a subtle mindset shift.

Let me do that for you. I know what it feels like to not know, to feel like you’re just out here floating around with no direction, to not believe in yourself. I also know how simple it is to change that so that you have clarity and you feel excited, connected, fulfilled, and confident.

What would you do if you knew you could not fail?
