My family and I spent a few days in Destin, Florida for my daughter’s ninth birthday. It was a pretty relaxing trip, contrary to what I thought it would be. Although the beach is gorgeous with its clean, white sands and clear blue water, we only spent a day at the beach because it was soooo hot. The beaches are so gorgeous though.
We spent most of our time at the pool (mostly poolside with a book while she splashed around in the pool making friends). Behind the pool was this bay with gorgeous sunsets.
Since we were at a golf resort, I felt I should dress accordingly. I do not know a thing about golf except that the women wear cute shorts and skirts with polo shirts and hats.
I did not have a visor so this cute floppy hat had to do. It is actually a kids’ hat (I bought it for my daughter), but it fit my head (and it worked for this outfit). I have not worn a skort since elementary school but when I saw this one, I had to have it. Plus, I thrifted it for a whopping $5!!! My favorite polo shirt matched perfectly as did these cute little bow flip flops that I bought at the end of the last Summer (on sale of course).
It was a great time had by all. I can’t wait to head back to the beach when it is not quite so hot. What is your favorite beach?
