A life coach for me and my mindset does what consistent working out does for my body. It keeps me healthy. Mind, body, and soul, right? Now being a life coach myself, I do a LOT of work on myself using the tools that I have; however, it is sometimes very challenging to work through things when you are so close to the situation. Sometimes you just can’t see it for yourself. And sometimes you just don’t WANT to see it because if you do, then you will have to actually DO SOMETHING. Been there. ??
Also, I have amazing friends who will always have my back. And although they mean well and I love them for it, they end up commiserating which I’ve learned does not serve me in the long run. It does not help me move forward in the way that I know I need to move. So I hired a life coach to:
- Help me uncover what was really holding me back
- Challenge me in every way possible
- Call me out on my bull….
- Listen to me without judgement
- Show me when I’m being ridiculous
- Encourage me to show compassion for myself when I’m being ridiculous
- Show me other options that I might not have considered
- Give me all the answers without telling me what I should do.
Hiring a coach is the best investment I’ve made in myself. I had heard people say this but did not really understand the value of it until I got one. Yes, I’m a coach who has a coach. My coach has a coach. Her coach has a coach. And on and on. At all levels of life and career, having someone to help show you your mind when you can’t see the forest from the trees and as a result, you get to show up in a way that you never thought possible is priceless.
Even if you don’t coach with me, I encourage you to get a life coach. Try it for at least a month. It will change your life forever.
