I remember searching for my purpose and getting nowhere. I had looked everywhere and had tried all kinds of things and was still unfulfilled at the end of the day. My job wasn’t cutting it. My hobbies were cool but I couldn’t figure out how they all came together to produce anything. It was frustrating and I wanted to give up and settle for life the way that it was.
So I know exactly how you feel. But here is why you shouldn’t give up finding your purpose:
You won’t be able to anyway. LOL! Let’s start there. As long as you have more inside of you than what you are allowing your true self to express outwardly, you will never be at peace. You will continue to feel that nudge that you should be doing more. Unleash the beast inside of you.
There are people who need you. This may sound silly and cliche, but there are people who need what only you can give them. We all have unique gifts and way of doing/saying things that only resonate with the people we were meant to serve. This is why, for example, there can be 1,000 different but successful burger joints. Each one has its own unique taste, branding, and offering that attracts different customers. It’s the same for us. Our uniqueness attracts the people who need us.
Purpose leads you to the life of your dreams. You might not even know what your dream life looks like at this point. I didn’t. I just knew that I was not happy with the way my current life was. However, the more I pursued my purpose, the clearer it got. When you’re in alignment with your calling, the peace and satisfaction that you experience is unmatched. You begin to build your life around it in a way that allows you to experience that feeling as much as possible. Before you know it, you’re living the life of your dreams.
Listen. Don’t give up finding your purpose. I promise it’s there and as long as you keep looking for it, you will find it. And it will be so worth it.
