Why You’re Not Making Money

Let’s talk about the real reason why you’re not making money doing what you want to do.

You don’t know what you want to do.
You don’t know where to start.
You don’t have enough money to get started.
You don’t have the support that you need.
Your job takes all of your time.
You’re too busy raising your kids.
You have too many bills to take the risk.
Other people depend on you financially.

I’ll sum it up in one word for you — Excuses. You’re not making money because you’re making excuses. I hear it from clients all the time.

They’re all excuses and they are driven by fear. Fear of failure, fear of judgment. If I could see the future and tell you that you’re for sure going to triple your current income within six months of doing your passion, would you still have those reasons (ahem, excuses)? Probably not.

You don’t believe in yourself enough to do it. You don’t believe you can do it.

You know what that tells me? You’re human.

Of course you’re scared. Of course you don’t believe you can do it. You’ve never done it. Most of us don’t come out of the womb with a bold ability to step into who we are. (Well we kinda do but life experiences jack us up, but that’s another story for another day).

We learn to overcome our fears through mindset shifts and practice. When you’re ok with your fears, you stop making excuses. And you start making money…doing what you want to do, not what you have to do.
