Being a newbie in this fashion blogging business presents quite the set of learning opportunities, which I love. What I love even more is that I can share all of it with you, especially the bloopers. So obviously, the biggest part of a fashion blog is fashion, in the form of pictures. I’m learning so much about photography. I started out taking pictures inside my house, then in my front yard, and then in different areas of my neighborhood. I stayed close mostly because I didn’t want people to see (and judge) me while I was doing photo shoots, especially since I don’t know what I’m doing half the time anyway. Plus, I don’t like attention so this was definitely a challenge, but I realized that I had to get over it in order to grow…myself and my blog. Now, I’ve started venturing out away from my house and neighborhood altogether. The following pics were shot at the mall. Not at the front of the mall or by a major entrance or anything, but at the mall nevertheless. Pretty soon, yall will see me all downtown in different weather, fighting the elements and stuff. But for now, the quiet side of the mall. Lol. Baby steps.
Anyway, this casual look full of neutrals was the focus of this shoot. Just imagine pretty white snow all in the background and falling in my hair. Although I don’t wear a lot of neutrals, I really like how they make for a nice, crisp look that is perfect for winter. My winter go-to outfit consists of a sweater, jeans, and boots/booties.

I started with these majorly distressed jeans. Thank God it wasn’t cold. Lol. This simple gray sweater just flowed. I love that is has zipper details on the shoulders. Plus, it’s the perfect thickness to keep you warm on those days where it’s not quite cold enough for a coat. My favorite cognac booties made the cut because I was doing quite a bit of walking and they have the low chunky heel which makes for great walking shoes. Plus, I just love how gray and cognac look together. Then, this scarf (that I forgot I had) pulled everything together perfectly.
Photo Shoot Blooper #1: Make sure the tags on your clothes are not showing. See evidence #1: the scarf.
Photo Shoot Blooper #2: Hide your white socks. See evidence #2: right bootie.
Photo Shoot Blooper #3: Make sure when you’re looking away from the camera, you’re doing it on purpose.
Something was going on in the bushes next to me and I was not there for it. I don’t like critters.
Photo Shoot Blooper #4: Do not prop your leg too far up when leaning against a wall. It looks like you are missing a leg.
So, there you have it. This week’s bloopers. How many of yall would’ve noticed these had I not pointed them out? 🙂
